Washington, DC | July 21, 2026 | FY26 Safer Outcomes Program (O-COPS-2026-172549) | This is a notice of funding opportunity (NOFO) for the FY26 Safer Outcomes: Enhancing Crisis Response Training for Law Enforcement Program. This opportunity seeks to promote safe outcomes during police encounters through relevant training. Awards will be made to entities seeking to implement training and related supports. Training is supported for law enforcement officers, support personnel employed by law enforcement agencies, and associated mental health professionals working on crisis intervention teams as employees of a law enforcement agency or under a legal agreement with a law enforcement agency. Training programs and related funding requests must address one of more of the areas of focus listed below: 1. De-escalation tactics and alternatives to use of force. For purposes of this funding opportunity, the term “de-escalation” means taking action or communicating verbally or nonverbally during a potential force encounter in an attempt to stabilize the situation and reduce the immediacy of the threat so that more time, options, and resources can be called upon to resolve the situation without the use of force or with a reduction in the force necessary. 2. Safely responding to an individual experiencing a mental or behavioral health or suicidal crisis. Such a crisis is one in which the behavior of a person puts the person at risk of hurting himself or herself or others or impairs or prevents the person from being able to care for himself or herself or function effectively in the community. This also includes situations in which a person is under the influence of a drug or alcohol, is suicidal, or experiences symptoms of a mental illness; or may exhibit symptoms, including emotional reactions (such as fear or anger), psychological impairments (such as inability to focus, confusion, or psychosis), and behavioral reactions (such as the activation of a freeze, fight, or flight response). Under this focus area, applicants can request funds for co-responding clinicians. 3. Safe encounters with individuals with disabilities. The term “disability” has the meaning given that term in section 3 of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (42 U.S.C. 12102). 4. Successfully participating on a crisis intervention team. The term “crisis intervention team” means a collaborative, interdisciplinary team that brings together specially trained law enforcement officers, mental health providers, and other community stakeholders to respond to mental health–related calls, use appropriate de-escalation techniques, and assess if referral to services or transport for mental health evaluation is appropriate. 5. Making referrals to community-based services and support. This may include mental and behavioral health services and support, housing assistance programs, public benefits programs, the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, and other services. Washington, DC | July 17, 2026 | Healthy Homes Production Grant Program (LHC-2600-DC-0044) | The program takes a comprehensive approach to addressing multiple childhood diseases and injuries in the home by focusing on housing-related hazards in a coordinated fashion, rather than addressing a single hazard at a time. The program builds upon HUD”s successful Lead Hazard Control programs to expand the Department”s efforts to address a variety of high-priority environmental health and safety hazards. Applicants receiving a Healthy Homes Production award under this NOFO will be expected to accomplish the following objectives:a. Maximize both the number of vulnerable residents protected from housing-related environmental health and safety hazards and the number of housing units where these hazards are controlled;b. Identify and remediate housing-related health and safety hazards in privately owned, low-income rental and/or owner-occupied housing, especially in units and/or buildings where families with children, older adults 62 years and older, or families with persons with disabilities reside;c. Promote cost-effective and efficient healthy home methods and approaches that can be replicated and sustained;d. Support public education and outreach that furthers the goal of protecting children and other vulnerable populations from housing-related health and safety hazards;e. Build local capacity to operate sustainable programs that will prevent and control housing-related environmental health and safety hazards in low- and very low-income residences, and develop a professional workforce that is trained in healthy homes assessment and principles;f. Promote integration of this grant program with housing rehabilitation, property maintenance, weatherization, healthy homes initiatives, local lead-based paint hazard control programs, health and safety programs, and energy efficiency improvement activities and programs;g. Build and enhance partner resources to develop the most cost-effective methods for identifying and controlling key housing-related environmental health and safety hazards;h. Promote collaboration, data sharing, and targeting between health and housing departments;i. Ensure to the greatest extent feasible that job training, employment, contracting, and other economic opportunities generated by this grant will be directed to low- and very-low-income persons, particularly those who are recipients of government assistance for housing, and to businesses that provide economic opportunities to low- and very low-income persons in the area in which the project is located.  Estimated Awards: 25. Washington, DC | July 17, 2026 | Older Adults Home Modification Grant Program (LHC-2600-DC-0069) | The overall purpose of the Older Adult Home Modification Program (OAHMP) is to assist experienced nonprofit organizations, state and local governments, and public housing authorities in undertaking comprehensive programs that make safety and functional home modification repairs and renovations to meet the needs of low-income seniors. The goal of the home modification program is to enable low-income elderly persons to remain in their homes through low-cost, low barrier, high impact home modifications to reduce older adults” risk of falling, improve general safety, increase accessibility, and to improve their functional abilities in their home. This will enable older adults to remain in their homes, that is, to “age in place,” rather than move to nursing homes or other assisted care facilities. Estimated Awards: 32. Washington, DC | July 14, 2026 | FY26 Community Policing Development: Law Enforcement Products and Resources (O-COPS-2026-172561) | The Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) is the component of the U.S. Department of Justice responsible for advancing the practice of community policing and the Administration’s priority of Making America Safe Again by supporting the nation’s state, local, territorial and Tribal law enforcement agencies through information and grant resources. Community Policing Development (CPD): Law Enforcement Products and Resources funds are used to develop products and resources to provide guidance on promising practices; develop and test innovative strategies; build knowledge about effective practices and outcomes; and support new, creative approaches to preventing crime and promoting safe communities and a positive image of policing. This initiative will establish a Lead Center Model, supported by a network of Service Centers, to deliver coordinated, statewide or territory-wide business services. Washington, DC | July 6, 2026 | Fair Housing Initiatives Program – Education and Outreach Initiative (OFH-2600-DC-021A) | Congress in 1988 established the Fair Housing Initiatives Program (FHIP) with a purpose of providing funding to entities to work alongside HUD to “prevent or eliminate discriminatory housing practices” 42 USC § 3616a(a). FHIP provides funds to eligible organizations through competitive grants. under several initiatives.The overarching purpose of the FHIP Education and Outreach Initiative (EOI) is to educate the public, housing providers and other stakeholders about their rights and obligations under provisions of fair housing laws, through the development, implementation, carrying out and coordinating or education and outreach programs. 42 USC § 3616a(d)(1); 24 CFR 125.301(a).The National Media Campaign component (EOI-NMC) is “designed to provide a centralized, coordinated effort for the development and dissemination of fair housing media products.” 42 USC § 3616a(d)(1). A portion of NMC funds are specifically meant to increase participation in the annual national fair housing month. Under a cooperative agreement, HUD will exercise the right to approve, and have substantial involvement in, all proposed deliverables, as well as the Work Plan or Statement of Work (SOW).The General Component (EOI-GC) is designed to carry out projects programs that prevent or eliminate discriminatory housing practices by establishing or supporting regional, local, and community- based education and outreach activities, events, and programs. Estimated Awards: 34. Washington, DC | June 24, 2026 | Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP) Alternative Funding Arrangements (AFA) for Federal fiscal year (FY) 2026 (USDA-NRCS-NHQ-RCPP-AFA-26-NOFO0001451) | The RCPP promotes the coordination of NRCS conservation activities with partners that offer value-added contributions to expand our ability to address on-farm, watershed, and regional natural resource concerns. Through the RCPP, NRCS seeks to co-invest with partners to implement projects that provide solutions to conservation challenges thereby measurably improving the resource concerns they seek to address. RCPP promotes collaboration with partners, stakeholders, and various communities, which is paramount to achieving equity in NRCS programs and services. Partners use this notice to propose projects that improve natural resources in one or more states or focus on priority concerns in NRCS-designated Critical Conservation Areas (CCAs). NRCS works with these partners to plan and carry out projects on farms, ranches and private forest land. Through the program, NRCS can provide funding to support both partners and producers.
