A Note on Version Updates

There are nearly 280 pages, 104,000 words and 700,000 characters with spaces in the paperback version of Honors of Inequality. Editorial errors make it “to press” in the first edition of our work. Amazon, however, makes it possible to update the electronic copy on file used for print-on-demand orders. Periodically, we update the file to eliminate the currently-known errors that will distract the reader or are inconsistent with the overall narrative.

The corrections are assigned to one of three categories:

  • Grammatical corrections: errors of spelling, punctuation, wording, misuse or absence of italics where indicated, etc., etc.
  • Clarity of narrative: stylistic and word choices that are not necessarily grammatical in nature but detract from the flow of the text or a point of emphasis.
  • Historical consistency: use of verbal tenses that does not distinguish past and present actions of the historical agents or phrasing that, through the process of writing and editing, conveys an ambiguous or inaccurate statement in support of the historical narrative.

The Kindle edition intends to mirror the text of the paperback edition. The electronic files are edited separately, so discrepancies are possible.

Professional Kindle-book reviewers who have an earlier version of the text are encouraged to reach out to us about the availability of the current text on the pages cited above or the latest copy of the work.
